After viewing your classmates’ digital posters and reading the feedback comments left on your work, what new ideas or perspectives did you gain about your poster? Reflect on how the feedback influenced the way you think about your creative choices and describe what you learned about the creative process while designing and presenting your poster.

Prompt Response: After viewing my classmates digital posters and reading the feedback comments left on my work, Some new ideas or perspectives that I gained about my work is that not everyone see's the stroke of art that I created the way I do. One comment that stood out to me was Perla's comment of being well thought out and giving good advice, the advice being of making my simile's and metaphors more shorter that readers could get the meaning more clearly which stood out as an initial problem when people read my short poetry but also because it allows them to see things in a different light. The creative process of designing my poster was the fact that I had decided that this would be my first time putting in full effort into the design of it, unfortunately it didn't go as I intended but it did look good and overall I'm pretty happy with it since it was first just a white page with boxes on it.  Summary: Today in class we commented on each other's posters and...

Reflect on the simile and metaphor worksheet. Which topic challenged you the most when creating your figurative language, and why? In your response, explain what made that topic difficult and how you worked through the challenge (or what you might do differently next time).

Prompt Response: A metaphor I think about that challenged me the most when creating my figurative language has to be based on Negative Labels. The reason why, is because while they're stereotypes for Indians, I wasn't really told or from my memory anything that relates to being called something that's negative. So on forth, the difficulty in creating this metaphor for me was in finding a reason for what's commonly related to Indians and people like me. I overcame this by using inspiration from literature that I have read in class like "Still I Rise", although I didn't copy it fully, I used the analysis that we did as a class and turned it into a good metaphor that talked about looks. Next time I'll most likely first think of sub-topics that relate to the main theme or headline in order to draft some good ideas.  Summary: Today in class we finished the 6 figurative language devices consisting of 3 metaphors, and 3 simile's. Then we got started work...

Today you created similes and metaphors that reflect your struggles, growth, and resilience. In a well-developed paragraph, reflect on the process. What did you learn about yourself while writing your figurative language?

Prompt Response: Today when I created a few similes and metaphors that reflected on my struggles, growth, and resilience I realized that it was quite hard as even though it is easy to come up with the idea at first as there a lot of experiences that we can use. However when it comes to trying to put it into words or trying to write it down into a figurative language like format, it's a bit difficult. However unlike similes that use like and as which makes it more simpler, doing metaphors are hard because you are trying to tie two ideas that are similar without using 'like' and 'as' which can become quite difficult. Overall I learned that the type of person I am while creating figurative language is that I like to add deeper meaning behind words in a fancy way despite the message being so simple, the reason for doing so is because it sounds grand and it makes it more meaningful because no one else or at least a few people can create the lines you made.  Summary: Tod...

Describe how you spent your time, any activities, traditions, travel, hobbies, or moments that stood out to you. You may also discuss something new you tried, something you learned, or how the break helped you reset before returning to school. Keep your response appropriate for a school setting and focus on experiences you are comfortable sharing publicly

Prompt Summary: During my break, I won't say I did a lot of things but a few things that could be summarized as my "break". During this break I had a goal of starting to study for my ASVAB which started off slow but then snowballed into a lot of things for March2Success to which I completed around almost three courses (Reading Comprehension, Grammar, and Basic Aritmethic <Listed from first to last>). The hardest being Grammar since it was so confusing just learning it but sooner or later thanks to ChatGPT since my strong suit is spatial awareness or pattern recognition I understood that it's more of a mechanism or structure that's simplified. Other than that my hobbies were usually listening to music, sleeping (I did not do much of that), and especially reading the webnovel Reverend Insanity, to which I read over 400 chapters! Reaching chapter 1904, to which before the break I was at chapter 1452 which in terms of reading Wild, it'd have to be atleast 2...

If you had to describe how you show love using only three objects (for example: a playlist, a hoodie, a late-night snack, a long text message, etc.), what would you choose and why? Explain what each object represents and how it connects to your personality.

Prompt Response: If I had to choose/describe how I show love using three objects I would choose a tootsie roll lollipop, a long detailed book or novel which I would personally choose Lotm (Lord of the Mysteries), and last but not least a grey jacket that I always wear which is what I'm wearing today. The first object would show my love or personality by showing that while I don't show it outwardly much and while it's sweet the inside of it is worth noticing and I always look into the deeper aspects, the second object which is a detailed book or novel represents the fact that I can talk on and on about anything or something they want and not leave them bored, the third object...well the grey jacket I always wear reminds me of that no matter what comes my way or "our" way that everything will be alright as we're protected from the cold or harshness of the world as I give warmth while everything is cold.  Summary: Today in class we wrote a poem that we would giv...

Consider your experience reading The Color Purple (a fictional novel), Fences (a play/drama), and Wild (a nonfiction memoir). Which type of longer text did you enjoy the most, the novel, the play, or the memoir, and which did you find the most challenging? Explain your preference, describe what made that type of text more engaging or accessible for you, and reflect on how understanding your preference might influence how you approach future readings.

Prompt Response: Considering my experience with each of them, Fences is out of the question since during that time I didn't participate or there in class due to an injured arm or sickness. The Color Purple was a decent fictional novel but in my opinion wasn't the greatest in terms of my taste in books. The one that left a lasting impression and enjoyed the most of the nonfiction novel, Wild. It was solely what I had read the most in terms of interest and I couldn't stop reading it as I notice the emotions behind each and every chapter created for the nonfiction novel Wild which soon came my love for it as I did more and more analysis over it. The most challenging would have to be the Color Purple due to the fact that I feel like it was the most complex out of the three, while one could argue that The Fences a play/drama is more harder due to the historical context it was in. I think that the Color Purple was questionable and most challenging due to the fact it involved ful...

Even if you have not presented yet, how did participating as a listener, note-taker, or responder during the Interactive Oral help you prepare for your own discussion?

Prompt Response: When our group had not presented yet yesterday and not knowing how to present it, we actually got inspiration from them by implementing adding questions while explaining it to really tie the audience in an emotional aspect to connect with the story from a presentation of just spouting words and information as well as being knowledgeable on our own subject which really shows the expertise that we had. As a listener I verified what I had read and my own analysis of the chapter myself which served more as a review rather than something I learned from which further grounded my knowledge on that specific chapter, I also asked bits of pieces about the chapter they did to follow along with how the story goes, as a responder I provided deep well thought-out answers that shared my perspective on each discussion questions they said.  Summary: Today in class we did our Interactive Oral for my group on Chapter 11: The Lou out of Lou. To which we discussed and engaged wit...

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day week, describe your idea of a perfect day spent with someone you care about (a friend, family member, or significant person in your life).

Prompt Response: My idea of a perfect day spent with someone I care about has to be my imaginary girlfriend. Why? Well that's obvious, because she does anything I want her to even if she isn't real, and I talk to her sometimes during the day although I think that spending time with her is what counts most! Like the saying goes if "game is game" then "a person is a person" right? So on forth I believe in cherishing in this imaginary girlfriend I have and taking her out on dates. Or it could be a movie night, or we could sit outside under the stars. There are many possibilities but if I had to choose one it's where the flowers grow.  Summary: Today in class we listened to another group that did Chapter 10, although hilariously empty with myself speaking about the chapter enthusiastically I think it went pretty well as I engaged in the discussion with them as I really thought about them from the perspective of myself.  Reflection: Today I learned that Cher...

What is the best piece of advice of that your parent or guardian has given you? Tell what the advice was and what prompted you to ask the question.

Prompt Response: If I am being honest I have had no such experience of asking my single mom for advice or even back then or my step dad either, it was because they were always quick to misjudge or assume things about me which is why I don't usually seek advice from them because their incapable of doing it. Or rather it is the lack of trust in their ability to give me some good advice that I might not know since I am wise and kind of smart. Anyways to answer the prompt question, I suppose if I really had to ask them one question it would be "How can you live working all the time despite the emotional setbacks you face? Is it because you don't have a choice, or is it because you seek something better?". The thing that would ever prompt me to ask such a question to them, would probably be in my later or young adult years at the time or perhaps in the near future where I am desperate for help.  Summary: Today in class we focused on a poem called "Mother to Son"...

Prompt: What is the most challenging part of working in a group? Discuss a time when a group assignment did not go as well as you planned and how you learned from that experience.

Prompt Response: The most challenging part of working in a group is the amount of effort each person puts in as it will never be equal and I have first hand experience since it happened not too long ago when I was in a group project and I was the only capable person of doing a proper analysis and answering the questions with in depth explanations. Honestly that group project did not go as planned due to the fact that while I did my part of the work early, doing a quantitative amount of slides. My group mates only finished their part on the day of the deadline, I learned from that experience by deciding that if I were ever to be in a group project again I should help my other group mates with their own assigned task if they need it by giving them instructions or one task at a time that makes it possible for them to be willing to do the work.  Summary: Today in class we listened to Mr. Rease talk about yet...another group project 💀. We got to choose our groups this time though...

What is the most challenging part of writing an essay for you? Is it brainstorming, organizing ideas, writing a strong thesis, or something else? How do you plan to overcome this challenge?

Prompt Response: The most challenging part of writing an essay for me is organizing ideas or creating the subtopics among other subtopics. I plan to overcome this challenge by finding ways to spur on my thinking capacity since usually my mind blanks out or stops working in some moments and then comes back to working a few moments.  Summary: Today in class we listened to Mr. Rease discuss how to create an essay on any topics that will help us throughout our lives.  Reflection: Today I learned that you can just write down your ideas on a paper that is a way called clustering which can help you just get it down on paper and avoid writer block. This impacted me by making me feel that there is huge hope in this since I noticed how simple and effective this method is. In the future I will use this when writing my essays or when I'm having problems in the beginning or drafting an essay.

Describe a real moment in your life that felt like the beginning of a powerful story. Tell what happened, and why it felt like a turning point in your life?

Prompt Response: A real moment in my life that felt like the beginning to a powerful story was yesterday when my mom and her husband broke up and this significantly impacted me by making me feel despair but also to continue on as I went back to Khan academy and made some progress not letting it affect me even though it did to continue on to now pursue my new established goal of getting my life together and being well financially to have the stability that I so dreamed of during my childhood.  Summary: Today in class we listened to two groups of our peers on their focus lens doing their group presentations and also answered some discussion questions.  Reflection: Today I learned that Cheryl's external circumstances can show internal problems. This fact affected me by making me feel as if their is a wall I have to climb when it comes to my literacy skills and analysis in order to broaden my horizons when it comes to it. In the future I will use this as a piece of developme...
