Why do you think filmmakers continue to use stereotypes, even when they can be harmful or inaccurate? Explain one reason discussed in class and give your opinion on whether this justifies their use.
Prompt Response: I think that filmmakers continue to use stereotypes even when they can be harmful or inaccurate because it can provide viewer's an entertaining experience even if they don't fully go into creating good characters for the money. One reason that we said in class that stereotypes happen is often what we see them do such as "black people eating fried chicken", which justifies their use of that type of stereotype on black people because usually you do see them eating fried chicken!
Summary: Today in class we read a commonlit article, however I didn't do it because I got exempt from our trip to Kennesaw Mountain.
Reflection: Today I learned during our hike in Kennesaw Mountain that meeting people along the way makes it a unique experience even if you're by yourself most of the time. This impacted me by making me feel a sense of belonging as I wasn't alone while walking. I will use this in the future whenever I go hiking again on a long trail.
