If you had to write a poem about your life RIGHT NOW, what would it be about? Explain your answer in at least 4 to 5 sentences.
Prompt Response: if I had to write a poem about my life "RIGHT NOW" then it would most likely be about sorrow, despair, and acceptance of circumstances. The reason why I say it would highlight those three themes is because while life has a huge variety of emotions and thoughts about certain things, if I had to narrow it down to a few simple elements it would have to be these three as I have had numerous encounters where I had felt this way throughout my life and even right now. The way I'd phrase these three elements within the poem would first be about despair, then sorrow, and lastly the acceptance of my circumstances because when a human being despairs it also leads to the capacity to hope in dire situations. Ultimately while people often go through bad times and there are a few good moments in the end, it's all a tedious cycle that loops until they've had enough and I feel like that's the way my life has been.
Summary: Today in class we listened to our peer's presentation and did our own group presentation.
Reflection: Today I learned that it is better to keep it short but have a major impact when it comes to your explanations when it comes to doing a presentation even if your work shows good effort. This impacted me by making me feel as if I've failed somewhere despite the good amount of effort and quality I put in for my slides which are pretty obvious in the ones I did. In the future I will use this experience as a reminder that while yes it is good to have both quality and quantity, it is better to just put most of it in quality when doing a presentation.
