Write about the best gift you have received.

Prompt Response: The best gift that I have received has got to be money, I mean let's be honest here. All around us, some might say that they don't need money since money can't buy happiness. But even if that's the case I believe it does move us in some sort of way giving us the leniency towards our sense of purpose or to what we desire as it might not solve everything, but it most certainly solves most things.

Summary: Today in class we read over letter's 76-81 of the Color Purple and translated two paragraphs, a portion of Celie's and Nettie's letters regarding dialect.

Reflection: Today I learned about Nettie's continuation of living in Africa and raising the kids. This impacted me by making me feel a bit bored of the story, the reason being is while I understand that it is necessary to put this into the book to understand Celie's emotion's towards Nettie's letter to truly be in Celie's pov and understand her, I'm not much of a fan of it but I suppose it's because it's not really the type of books I read. In the future I will use this as information I can maybe use for the final project/assignment for this class to present to further show my knowledge I have of the Color Purple.

What is something that society once accepted but now sees as wrong, or something we still accept today that might be viewed as wrong in the future? Explain your reasoning.
