Write about a dream that felt real. - Oct 6th

 Prompt Response: A dream that felt real to me was when I was in a harry potter movie and the scene where Harry and his orange haired friend were getting chased in a car by a bunch of huge spiders and the mother spider was 3 times hunger than the car itself! Well after that happened I was in the car with them and when the mother spider reached us, she ate us all and the feeling of dying felt surreal despite jolting awake right afterwards from that nightmare of getting eaten. A dream that felt real that happened when I was 6. 

Summary: Today in class we finished up the book fences by reading the last act where Cory is grown up and got back from the marine corps to go to Troy's funeral along with his mother Rose and his sister. While reading the last Act of the book we discussed and analyzed the book for deeper meanings. 

Reflection: Today I learned of Cory's relationship with Troy since I was only here for Act 1 Scene II, which introduced us to Troy getting back home to his wife and Gabe who is mentally unstable due to the military. Although after that I did not attend class due to my fractured arm and doctor's advice, although I plan on reading it online if available for find a way too. Cory's relationship with Troy impacted me by making me think back to moments where I felt the same way as Cory since I also can say from experience that I share a similar relationship with my father of never wanting to see with him again, although I did forgive him maybe after 5-7 years and I don't care about him despite having the natural affection for him. In the future I will use this too help me resolve inner grudges with others to resentment/hatred I have for others I may have to prevent future conflicts and a better future with less problems.

 Prompt Response: When someone called me an idiot, as they said "Why is someone like you part of our group, your the most idiotic and unhelpful person I met". It made my self-esteem lower by a whole bunch of points and sooner or later I stopped trying in my classes to what defined that title for me as what I thought was idiotic;what an idiot was and made me interact with others less.  Summary: Today in class we went over a short essay "Incident" by Countee Cullen, and analyzed the poem; As well as discussing what the poem was about and the two themes of it. Before the Civil War, most people saw nothing wrong with children working long hours. Over time, people began to see it as unfair and even cruel. What is something that society once accepted but now sees as wrong, or something we still accept today that might be viewed as wrong in the future? Explain your reasoning.

 Prompt Response: Something we still accept that will most likely be seen as wrong and not done in the future is racism as we start to see as a society it is mixed as sometimes it can often be seen as good and bad. In today's society we believe that racism is something that is "fine" however the effects are often bad because it influences us to believe we can treat a person a certain color a certain way and I believe that in the future maybe a decade or two will be seen as something that is morally wrong and is not done even among young generations as we all join hands together.  Summary: Today in class we read over a short article over how child labor was soon abolished and what led up to that.
