You are working on your storymap which is reflection on your past. Thinking about your future, as you graduate high school, what role does the Atlanta metro area play in your life? Do you plan to stay or move away? Explain your reasoning.

 Prompt Response: The role of Atlanta metro serves in my future as a place I won't be thinking about but as a place where I won't ever go back too if I succeed in this life. I plan to move away from this place and Georgia overall as I don't like it very much as it's a reflection of my past and who I am as a person only reminding of the bad things that went throughout my life. 

Summary: Today in class we started working on our storyboard map for our past and locations that made up of our cultural identity just like on how Amy Tan talked about her cultural identity in the short story "Two Kinds". 

Reflection: Today I learned in class that my past is not worth talking about much in terms of cultural identity. This impacted me by making me reflect on the idea that someone else has more diversity and made me questioned on "why care about cultural identity as a whole?", which my answer to that is that it's a reflection of us from the past, the present, and last the very future that could determine on how we live our own fate's. In the future I will use this to remind me on the path that I am set on and if I stray away from it then I will accept myself, as accepting myself will allow me to more possibilities with more people I meet.

Discuss a moment in your own life when something you believed in turned out to be different than what you imagined. How did this realization shape your identity or worldview?

 Prompt Response: A moment in my life where I had something I believed in and was different from what I imagined was when I believed in Santa Claus and the tooth fairy, it was until one eventful night of waking up that I found out and connected the dots together that it was really my mom that got me the present! This realization made me shape my identity/worldview by making me more susceptible to things and made me question the truth.  Summary: Today in class we read over letters 66-70 of The Color Purple, and started on a found poem that involves using quotes from what we read and turning it into a poem which has to consist of 10 long lines.  Prompt Response: When someone called me an idiot, as they said "Why is someone like you part of our group, your the most idiotic and unhelpful person I met". It made my self-esteem lower by a whole bunch of points and sooner or later I stopped trying in my classes to what defined that title for me as what I thought was idiotic;what an idiot was and made me interact with others less.  Summary: Today in class we went over a short essay "Incident" by Countee Cullen, and analyzed the poem; As well as discussing what the poem was about and the two themes of it.
