Write about a time when you did something out of the norm. What was it and how did others react?

Prompt Response: A time where I did something out of the norm was when I didn't go to high school prom because I simply didn't care for the past few years since I was constantly switching schools until last year and now. Other people didn't really react much since I didn't make it known or I didn't glorify it, you could really say I was a "Nobody" but I was fine with that since I already knew that fact in the story of Life. While there are times in our lives where we are our own main characters, there are other times where we have to be fine with being a side character as well; that's my viewpoint on being a Nobody or a Somebody.

Summary: Today in class we discussed and read over the poem "I'm Nobody! Who are you?" by Emily Dickinson, as well as write notes or things we noticed about the poem.

Reflection: Today I learned in class that being a 'Nobody' was fine if you were okay with it. This impacted me by shifting my perspective or experience to when I read a novel and it said "we are all side characters, but I am my own eternal main character" as the main character of that story often shares wisdom throughout his journey of becoming immortal. In the future I will use this as maybe motivation to get through tough moments where I am not noticed, but only a flower waiting to bloom eventually when the season hits no matter how long it takes.

What is something that society once accepted but now sees as wrong, or something we still accept today that might be viewed as wrong in the future? Explain your reasoning.
