Describe how gender roles or patriarchy influence your identity?

 Prompt Response: Gender roles influenced my identity by what you should expect out of a "man", by that I mean on how a guy should treat a women right, what life has in store for a man, as well as expectations on what a man should do. 

Summary: Today in class we drew a Cultural Indentity mask about ourselves, as well as go over vocabulary words that we will take a test on the 27th of Augest.

Reflection: Today I learned many vocabulary words along with my peers. As well as my Cultural identity regarding who I am and what I think the mask I wear is. Learning what I think about my Cultural identity has affected me by asking myself more questions about who I really thought I was and who I was truly. I will use this knowledge in the future when I look back at what I thought my Cultural identity is and compare.

Clothing is often tied to identity and culture. Describe an outfit or style you like that may not fit what others expect from you. How have people responded, and what does this reveal about stereotypes in society?

 Prompt Response: An outfit/style that I like that may not fit what others expect from me is the gothic/emo style of clothing and the way I present it due to my own personality. People might respond to this nowadays positively as it's something new that you don't see everyday that really show's that you're not like others, however if it was back in the early 2000's it might be seen as cringy and weird. Describe a time when you felt completely lost.

 Prompt Response: A time where I felt completely lost was when I was going through the motions of life and not being able to do anything about it only facing failure over and over to the point I was debating whether I should give up or not. It was a suffocating and despairing moment of my life to go through something like that which led me towards a downward spiral externally and internally about my problems. As well as another moment where I felt completely lost was moving schools and making new friends, it felt isolating and bad to make new friends since they were pretty much the equivalent of strangers.  Summary: Today in class we presented each of our masks about our cultural identity.
